Springtime 2005

At Easter (the week-end before) we also have traditionally for the first time in the year 'parish fair' ... or in German called Kirmes ... the amusement event next to the townhall at the Mainz side of the Rhine river. It will last even two weeks this year.

not as big as in Vienna but nevertheless pretty high the "Riesenrad"

from the 'balcony' next to the townhall you have a nice view ... and if you want also a bench where to read.

But some like it more speedy ...

on the other side of the Rhine river is a little boat harbour and the open air pool. But the pool will not open before end of May.

Or even more speed?

Or for young couples in love .... something for the heart ... and the stomach ;-) (made from honey cake)
